Irish National Teachers’ Organisation (INTO)- INTO

The INTO’s website contains information for teachers in both the Republic and North of Ireland. There are intercultural guidelines, information relating to English as an additional language, and a publication entitled “Newcomer children in the Primary Education System”, which looks at the way in which the Irish education system has adapted to the fact that school pupils are no longer only native Irish children. Its monthly journal, “In Touch”, frequently features articles which may be of use to teachers working with newcomer students.

National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals (NAPD)-NAPD

The NAPD represents principals and deputy principals throughout the country, and provides support to all its members, as they face a diversified student body.

Teachers’ Union of Ireland (TUI)-TUI

The TUI represents teachers and lecturers in Vocational Schools, Community Colleges, Community & Comprehensive Schools, Institutes of Technology, and Further Education places of learning. The organisation’s website contains much up to date information, in addition to previous editions of the TUI News Magazine.
