Recognition of Qualifications
The National Qualifications Authority of Ireland (NQAI) operates the Irish centre for the recognition of international qualifications, which is known as “Qualifications Recognition” (QR).
Qualifications Recognition
If you are unsure whether your qualifications are recognised in Ireland, QR provides information regarding qualifications from abroad and compares the foreign qualification to a qualification that is placed at a particular level on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications. The National Framework of Qualifications is a system of ten levels. It is designed to capture all learning, from the very initial stages to the most advanced.QR has developed an information leaflet describing the qualifications recognition system in Ireland. The leaflet is available in the following languages- English, Polish, Latvian, Lithuanian and Russian and can be downloaded at this page
For more information on qualifications recognition, visit the Qualifications Recognition website. The website allows you to print the application form required to apply for the recognition of a foreign qualification. Alternatively telephone: (01) 887 1500 or email: info@qualificationsrecognition.ie.
